So that would be an African pick up line. In Swaziland the groom has to give so many cows to his bride's family. So the joke is that whenever we were proposed to (which was frequent) we would say we were worth 100 cows and you had to ship them to America. Hehe.

Hey friends! This past week has gone by so fast. I spent the
whole week at Eskom and my team and I are really seeing God move. I've been
praying that He'll give me a sense of urgency, a passion for the fact that He
is coming. Just that the way I live, walk and talk will reflect that. This week
I really tried to go out with a new boldness, which is tough to say the least.

 Interesting
highlights of the week: Monday, our cars break down more than they run properly
so we weren't able to go to Eskom, but Kristin (an amazing team member) and I
stayed back and just prayed for Eskom and that the Lord will move. He did.

Tuesday we went back to Priscilla's house to visit again and
we met a Sangoma (witch doctor, traditional healer) who was there hanging out.
She was really interesting to talk to and just hear what she believes; her name
is Eunice if you could please pray for her. Tuesday night she had a dream about
angels protecting her and we're just praying that the Lord will show her Truth.

Wed. we met two Christian pastors that work in Eskom! I was
so excited and encouraged to talk with them and they literally walked up and
said "Hey we're Christians too." It was pretty cool, their names are Peter and
Patrick. We also met some boys our age that we have started to build a
relationship with. We also met a lady named Thandi that is truly  hungry to know the Lord.

Today is Thursday and we had to leave early today because of
a storm. But we were still able to go around and talk to some people.

Prayer requests for Eskom:

-I've continued to talk to Cynthia and please just pray that
the Lord will give me the boldness to say what needs to be said and to be quiet
if I need to be quiet. Also that He will prepare her heart for what He wants to
do.

-One of the older girls, Refilwe, has a severe limp and hip
problem. Her and I have become tight and I love seeing her everyday. I really
just sense a calling that the Lord has on her life to do some awesome things.
Please also pray for healing for her hip. Our God is a God of miracles and her
life is a living testimony to that.

-For Alan and his family. I see him everyday and he still
goes around and walks with us. Please pray that my friendship with him will
open a door to talk to his parents, Nelly and Robert.

-For Priscilla, Thyto, Eunice and Selena. That when we go to
talk and just hang out with them that the Lord is speaking not us.

-Thank the Lord for introducing us to Pastor Patrick and
Pastor Peter! I love it!

Ok so I feel like I write a lot about the amazing things God
is doing in Eskom and not much about anything else. Just so you know our team
splits and there are groups that go to other townships and God is doing some
crazy cool things there as well. But back at home, Alabanza, God is moving. I'm
not going to lie, this week has been kind of tough for me. Physically I'm
getting tired and really looking forward to some rest tomorrow. But I don't
know I've felt a little distant from God. Like I want so desperately to be
close to Him but for some reason He feels so far away. The past 24 hours, all
of Alabanza did a prayer time. So every moment someone was praying and tonight
at the end of it we all just worshiped together. They prayed over me and I feel
like God is just increasing my hunger for Him. It's so hard to describe it all,
but it was renewing and sometimes we need clear out our minds and refocus them.
That's what I feel like the Lord did tonight and it feels so good just to know
that He's always here. He is showing me how everything I am, have and can claim
is all Him. I truly have nothing that He didn't give me and He's totally
breaking me down to realize that.

            I LOVE it
here. Even when I'm tired and worn out my team surrounds me. Living with 40
people is getting more and more normal and we've stopped seeing the craziness
in it. It's really cool to live in an environment where if you need prayer at
any time every single person will just come around you and lift you up.

I really want to thank all of you for your support in prayer and in everything really. I love internet and getting to hear from everyone! Thank you so much!

Ok so I miss all of you guys and I love reading comments and
e-mails and all about what's going on in the States, so please please please
write me! Send me a letter even those are fun and if you feel the urge to send
Easy-Mac or a small bag of tortilla chips that would be cool too. It's one of
those weird things that you don't know you'll miss to you realize no one in
South Africa eats tortilla chips. Ok I love you all!

Chelsea

P.S. more pictures are up! woohoo!
