After walking down the brown dirt road, meeting the Great and Wonderful God and clicking my flip flops three times I landed at home in Colorado. I had a safe but long trip, going from Lion King to Narnia was a little weird though (I'm going to try and soak up the movie analogies). It was hard to say goodbye to my team, but even harder to leave African culture. We were sitting in the Germany airport and saw an African family walk by and we all looked and nudged each other going "African child!!" I'm not experiencing too much culture shock, probably becuase we saw a lot of Afrikaans culture, which is very western. The only shocks I'm having are driving on the right side of the road, taking showers longer than three minutes and with hot water, and since when it is not acceptable to go without doing laundry for three weeks? I love being home right now, but am definitely ready to go to Kenya.
Something that the Lord really placed on my heart before I left S.A. was as much boldness on this mission field as on the last one. I haven't left my ministry, minsitry is life. God really challenged me to speak His name and His deeds without hesitation. To have no fear about "freaking people out." What would I say about what God did if I knew that it would be received the way I wanted it to be? God moved and I need to speak that with confidence. He moved in dreams and visions, He moved in casting out demons and fears, He moved in healing the sick and He moved in ways I'll never understand, but the point is that He moved and He is continuing to move.
